Americana Engagement session Matt and Shelby Vancouver, WA

Image
Hey there, I'm so excited to photograph Shelby and Matt's wedding this June in Washougal, WA! I had the best time getting to know them during their engagement session on Officers Row in Vancouver, WA.. They are having an Americana Summer wedding; which I totally dig! We incorporated that Idea into their engagement session using sparklers and an American flag with a national historic location. So much fun! Engagement Session Date: July 19, 2017 Wedding Date June 30, 2018 How did you two meet? I used to work with his mom and she introduced us! How did he propose? We were vacationing in Denver visiting another couple who's good friends of ours. We were all driving through the mountains and stopped at a turnout for some pictures. Matt took the opportunity to surprise me and dropped to one knee and proposed! The backdrop was gorgeous - the view was a vast mountain range sprinkled with snow. Unforgettable! Tell me about the details you're most

Love like Chemistry {Engagement Session}

Chemistry... Alex and Clay came to me a couple months ago for a wedding consultation and I instantly felt a connection with them. Their love is so genuine and they are two of the nicest people I've met. Their proposal story is one of the BEST! They went on a trip to Disney and when they got there Clay got down on one knee and asked Alex to marry him! --- I thought "DISNEY, are your freaking kidding me?!?!" That has got to be the coolest location I've heard of! (maybe it's just because I love Disneyland and Disney world so much) Just talking with them at our consult, I was so excited and inspired by their love story that I couldn't wait to work with them. Then, we scheduled the Engagement Session.  Alex mentioned an Enchanted forest theme so I took them to one of my favorite local parks and we shot during golden hour. The light and location were perfect. I had the best time with the two of them and we laughed a lot! Alex is absolutely gorgeous and I can

::Emily and Dakota's Engagement Session:: Wedding Date August 19, 2017 How did you two meet? Dakota and I met in band at Mountain View High School. We both played the alto sax and were in the same band class when he was a junior and I was a senior. We had many mutual friends and loved to hang out together. How did he propose? Dakota proposed on top of Wind Mountain in the Columbia Gorge. We love to hike and explore new areas, so it was perfect! Tell me about the details you're most excited about for your upcoming wedding! I am very excited to have all of our family members celebrating our marriage with us! And besides marrying Dakota, I am very excited for the food! :)  Sometimes I make a silly suggestion and my couples just go with it... And then this happened 😜😜 Engagement photos: What kind of look were you going for? Our goal was to be able to look at the photos and feel like it really showed who we are and our personalities and re

"Sometimes you just know" Mark and Lindsay Engaged {Vancouver WA Wedding Photographer}

"Sometimes you just know!" That's what Mark said to me as he explained his marriage proposal story. I listened to him as he described the experience and I watch her face light up with the most beautiful gleam. Totally and Completely in L O V E.  (All the feels people seriously!)  The way he spoke about Lindsay and how much he loves and wants to marry her-- I thought to myself "I have to photograph this wedding"  I'm such a sucker for love.. but sometimes I have these clients that I just completely fall in love with!! (who am I kidding.. I love all of them) But- this particular couple just made me so excited to document their special day. Seriously- I'm so honored that I get to photograph their wedding at The Country Garden Estates this summer!  These two just hit the road and moved to Sunny Arizona. With about a week's notice, we managed to squeeze in an engagement session just before they left. It was a super yucky rainy forecast-- One I'm p

a date with Ryan and Tiffany {Vancouver, WA-Portland OR Engagement Photographer}

This was an awesome engagement session. I knew as soon as I met Ryan and Tiffany, that they were going to be a really fun couple to work with. Together we planned their engagement session to take place at the place they had their first day; Their college football field-- Awesome right? They began their session with a quick drink and we laughed and had fun the entire time. I think that one^^^ is my favorite!! I love the bikes! They have a bar on the Portland State campus so we ended our session with a few beers and talked about the upcoming wedding and future plans. This couple absolutely rocked their session and I had a blast working with them and I'm so thrilled that they chose me to capture their wedding day. Bridgette and Tony:: Engaged:: {Vancouver, WA Wedding Photographer}

One of my favorite couples is tying the knot today. I'm so excited to capture their love story this afternoon. Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session in Vancouver,WA and Portland, OR.  We had ourselves a little adventure and cruised around downtown Portland as well as downtown  Vancouver finding little spots here and there to take these shots. I always enjoy working Bridgette. She's been a friend and client since 2009.  Congratulations to Bridgette and Tony today! Shout out to  Sammy's Flowers  in Portland. They have such an adorable little flower shop and the ladies were so nice when we came in.  Another Shout out to  Torque Coffee Roasters  for their awesome coffee, friendly staff and funky furniture. Best coffee in town for sure.  It's a great place to warm up during a cold shoot. These two are so cute! I can't wait to photograph their wedding on this beautiful sunny day today! T
