Love to hike; Emily and Dakota Engagement

Image
::Emily and Dakota's Engagement Session:: Wedding Date August 19, 2017 How did you two meet? Dakota and I met in band at Mountain View High School. We both played the alto sax and were in the same band class when he was a junior and I was a senior. We had many mutual friends and loved to hang out together. How did he propose? Dakota proposed on top of Wind Mountain in the Columbia Gorge. We love to hike and explore new areas, so it was perfect! Tell me about the details you're most excited about for your upcoming wedding! I am very excited to have all of our family members celebrating our marriage with us! And besides marrying Dakota, I am very excited for the food! :)  Sometimes I make a silly suggestion and my couples just go with it... And then this happened 😜😜 Engagement photos: What kind of look were you going for? Our goal was to be able to look at the photos and feel like it really showed who we are and our personalities and re

Meet baby S. She's the newest and littlest of 3 kiddos that belong to one of my past wedding couples and I had the pleasure of capturing her so fresh and new.  I just love being able to capture sweet little babies especially when they belong to my amazing past wedding clients. It's such an honor to capture these milestones. <3 nbsp="" p=""> Meet baby S: Newborn Photographer Vancouver, WA

Heathen Estates-- A new Wedding Venue and Winery in Clark County

Image
I had the opportunity to work with several local wedding vendors to create a live styled shoot during the soft-opening of the new Heathen Estate in Brush Prairie, WA. The venue is gorgeous and will make for a beautiful place to hold outdoor weddings and events. They also have the home listed on Airbnb. The day of the event it was super rainy and muddy so we were limited on where we could go with these beautiful gowns but we managed to stay somewhat dry and use the available covered porch and walk ways to get some beautiful shots. Here are some of my favorite images shot during the soft-opening. A little bit about me- An interview with Tara Thackeray

Image
Hey Hey, So this academic year I've had the privilege of mentoring a HS senior for her senior project. She conducted an interview with me and these are the questions and answers. I thought I'd share them here as a blog post incase anyone else is interested in knowing a little more about me 😊😊😊😊 1. What got you into photography? I’ve always loved all things art. Even when I was a child I was obsessed with cameras and taking pictures. I loved having professional photos taken. Scrapbooking and documenting life was totally my jam. I loved to pose my younger cousins or sibling and take photos of them during holidays and family events. I always had a camera with me and went through several growing up. In school, I was part of the yearbook committee and I took every art class available. I went to college to an art teacher because I love helping people and I love art--- I still do!  but I always had this DREAM of being a professional photographer. A few years later, I me

Urban Wedding at The Little Church- Portland OR Wedding

Ryan and Tiffany's Portland Wedding.  This wedding was different than any other wedding I've shot. Partially because the couple was so super cool and fun to work with but also because it had more locations than any other wedding I've done. We started at the Kennedy school, Then headed downtown to the hotel where the bride was getting ready then back to the otherside of town to the wedding venue then back downtown for the reception. 😳  It was a little crazy to think about how it was all going to work when creating the timeline-- but it worked.  What an incredible day it was. Seriously I am so so lucky, I get to work with such awesome couples like Ryan and Tiff.  When I met them, I knew their wedding was going to be such a fun day to capture.  I had the best time getting to know them at their engagement session and talking over all the wedding details. So day of, when I showed up to the Mcmenamins Kennedy school to photograph the guys and I saw chalk art that read &qu
